Type At Home Review

Type-at-home is one of many scams that fool people into signing up. They trick unsuspecting work at home seekers, by promising easy money with easy data entry. The truth is that there is nothing easy about what they offer! The so called data entry is placing Google ad word advertisements for either their data entry site, or somebody else’s products.  Type-at-home does not tell you that after you join, you still need to have a huge advertising budget to place Google Adwords! And even if you spend money to advertise someone else’s products, you will never make the kind of money that’s promised on their website! It takes a budget of $1000.00 to $3000.00 to make any money online with the type-at-home system.  The proof of income screenshot looks pretty impressive doesn’t it? That screenshot is not a member’s income, but that screenshot is the income of the type-at-home.com admin! He has a large downline of affiliates who spend thousands of dollars promoting his site! If you don’t own your own product and don’t have affiliates working for you, you will never come even close to making the kind of money that’s promised on the site!  The top of the type-at-home website boldly states “19,000 members and 1000’s earning income”! Here’s what it should say; “19,000 members and a 90% failure rate due to lack of advertising funds”!  About the guarantee: The main reason that there is a guarantee is because it’s a requirement of clickbank.com. Clickbank.com requires all their member sites to offer a 60 day money back guarantee. The admin of type-at-home is hoping that dissatisfied customers will fail to request a refund within the 60 day period, which many of them do!  One final note, the counter at the bottom of the screen is just more trickery! Refresh the type-at-home homepage and get another 60 minutes! Don’t be fooled! If you wish to learn how to make money with affiliate programs then please take a few moments to get my free ebook that won't cost you a penny. Simply click here to get it right now.

Hi: Not all of the Type At Home sites are scams. I have joined one and made my membership fee back within two days of joining. Whenever I had a question someone always responded promptly. I am affiliate for their website and I have done some research and they are one of the few companies that are legitimate. There are affiliates out there who are earning over $4000 a month I think that is pretty good income considering your never leaving your house.

Thanks for the heads up Lynn. Can you by any change direct me in the right direction to where I can make a little money? i would be so grateful for a good lead. Thanks, Javier

    By Pearl2007-06-25 02:58:24

I would love to get a more straight forward information of who's legitimate out there and how to find them on-line. Thank you, Pearl

Hi Lynn, I was wondering if you could tell the type at home site that is legite. I have joined one that I read a review on and hope that it is the same site.

    By VK2007-08-04 09:28:36

Hello Lynn, please tell me what Type at Home site you joined. Regards.

    By Glenda2007-08-06 19:36:37

Hi Lynn: Please, please tell me who the honest one is. I have tried a few programs, and all they did was lie!!

    By John2007-08-11 17:57:39

Guys, all the "type at home" programs are scams. They make it sound so simple, but in reality you have to go and advertise on the Internet, which isn't that easy.

Type at home is just another way to get your hard earned money. I suggest you NOT to buy into their crap.

    By Liz2007-09-19 18:15:41

Are there any real, legitimate work from home jobs out there? I just don't know what to believe anymore! Help!

    By Tim2007-09-27 18:08:47

I wish I found your review of Type-At-Home before signing up with them a month ago. After four email attempts within the month of trying to get my $50 refund, I have yet to receive it and probably never will. I was misled by their ads, thinking that I would be "hired" by a company to type up ads for them. Instead, it turned out to be a guide book on how to do affiliate marketing (which I could have done for free!). On top of that, the day after I signed up with Type at Home I was bombarded with telephone calls from other home business opportunity companies that were trying to get me to sign up. I asked them how they got my number, and they told me they got it from Type at Home because they "teamed up" with them. Two days later, yet another similar home business call. I don't care if these companies are affiliated with Type At Home. I find it very disrespectful to disclose my personal information to other companies (I wonder how much they paid them for it). I learned a very hard lesson here. Please don't fall for these scams.

I want to typing at home please help me.

    By Greg2007-10-04 17:55:25

This whole idea of "Typing At Home" is a scam.

I joined at least 5 Type At Home programs and all of them were nothing but big Rip Off!

I was able to get my money back but it took a while, since I had to do a chargeback on my credit card.

Those people are getting rich from selling you their useless information.

Type at home websites are very misleading as well. On their sales page you will not find anything that says you need to spend money on advertising.

I suggest you guys to stay away from these Type At Home scams!

anyone hear of Type at home online business with Julia Harris? Is this a scam?

    By Julie2009-01-11 10:12:52

Michelle, Yes typeathomeonline is a scam, like the others. Sort of interesting that we never did hear back from Lynn on the one that is legitimate.

    By Stephy2009-01-11 23:53:51

Julia Harris it's 100% scam. I have paid and never had the trial. Be careful. I found the Julia Harris advertismenr by Go Freelance. Search "Julia Harris" "Scam" on Google and you will find several results.

    By Beth2009-01-14 15:59:51

Hey Michelle, I also got an email from Julia Harris with Type At Home. I was wondering if it was a scam as well. Did you ever figure out if it was a scam?

    By Kerry2009-01-18 18:27:59

If you want a home-based typing business, place a classified ad in the local newspaper. Or print up a flyer and post it on bulletin boards at supermarkets or college campuses. Don't give out your credit card number or bank information over the Internet.

    By Sheryl Busenitz2009-01-29 11:46:50

Are you referring to typeathome.com? Do you know of a legitimate company? Thanks! sb

    By Drew2009-02-10 20:59:01

I just wanted to thank everyone who posted. This is exactly what I hoping to find, I was sort of sure that it was a scam, but I wanted to double check before investing in it. Now I just need to do research on this Affiliate advertising stuff. Thanks

    By Jarvis2009-02-15 21:53:00

Lynn G. is a fake as well and not a real person.

    By tanisha2009-02-17 09:26:22

If anyone joins typeathomeonline.com we can help eachother out and see if we can put two and two together and figure out how to do it so we can really start making some money? If anyone is ready by february 20th please contact me on my e-mail so we can get started

    By Delores2009-02-22 08:08:50

I also received the Type@Home e-mail and printed it out to read later (it's 15 pages long). When I was exiting the site, a pop-up box appeared wanting to know why I was exiting without signing up. I told them that I wanted to investigate the business before hand. And here I am reading all of these comments. I'm glad I didn't go through with it.

    By lili2009-02-27 12:18:59

also got an email from julia harris. wondered if it was another scam. it pro is. besides, i just got an email that says that my email address wan a million euro. what the hell with all these emails?! make me excited for nothing!! it sounded so real, till they asked for all of my privet info... god, i wish it was real. and maybe it is, who knows.

    By Amy2009-03-12 14:39:21

Just checked into Type at Home Last Night. By Julia Harris I figured to get something by NOON next day. Heard nothing so started hunting. Found this site. How do I go bout getting my money BACK?

    By SANDY2009-04-13 17:43:34

Anyone else notice how Lyn, the first one to answer never did tell anyone which company she worked for?? She is a plant, to give hope. It is her job to find these postings and say she found one that is not a scam.

    By Mother Theresa2009-05-22 10:07:31

As you already know, nothing is free and it takes money to make money. Soon there will be a place where you can actually make money based on the amount of work you do. I have done a tremendous amount of research on many companies and I have yet to find one that will just hire you to type and not charge you monthly for the job. This makes you an employer not an employee

    By wendy2009-06-02 13:49:14

I type from home. I market myself by word of mouth and referrals. I also advertise on Craig's List and had to weed out a few weirdos, but got some good jobs. Get yourself a dictaphone for cassette tapes, and download for free Express Scribe 4.05 (google it), for CD audio transcription, and run your business yourself.

    By keya2010-02-01 12:23:24

wish i would have read this first. i joined one last week. been tryna get a refund but the email won't send...such a BIG SCAM!!!

    By Jean2010-02-24 15:39:31

I too got an email from Julia Harris for Type at Home online. I can't figure out how to type the stuff and how you get paid. When you ask on line help they tell you you need a pay pal account. I don't want computer money I want real money. I too think its a scam.
